Song Fa Bak Kut Teh : 松發日夜市肉骨茶

In order to obtain a delicious pot (bowl) of bak kut teh one should neither neglect the soup nor overlook the doneness of the pork ribs, yea?

The memory was vague but the balance of the pepperiness and sweetness from hours of slow boil was spot on and it lingered on in my head. I've been wanting to revisit Song Fa Bak Kut Teh to do a proper review ever since I tried it when a friend brought us here initially.
Nigel Ate : 3.5/5
So the verdict? The soup was as good as my memory tells me it was. While the decision to order the more expensive Long Gu (龙骨) instead of the normal spare ribs,  with the promise of more tender and fall-off-the bone meat failed to deliver, was a bad one; The Long Gu was tough and evidently overcooked.
Nigel Ate : 4.25/5
You can also try their braised peanuts while you're there, which I would recommend you to do so because their braised peanut is sweet and salty, very addictive indeed!

Disappointed yet wondering if I had held too high an expectation, I'll still recommend you to try Song Fa Bak Kut Teh for the benefit of doubt that it might be a once-off thing.
